Equipment

  • Dutch oven or Soup Pot

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 whole Green Chilis chopped
  • 6-7 cloves Garlic minced
  • ½ inch Ginger chopped finely
  • 1 medium sized Carrot finely chopped
  • 5-10 whole Green Beans finely chopped
  • ½ size Cabbage finely chopped
  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • salt & pepper to season
  • 1 stalk Spring Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch

Chili Oil

  • 1 Tsp Refined Oil
  • 1 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 2 whole Dried Red Chilis

Instructions
 

  • Heat refined oil in a pot. As the oil heats add the chopped green chilis, garlic, and ginger. Add the chopped Carrots, Green Beans, and Cabbage. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add the water and cover cook for 5 minutes.

  • Add the Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Chili Sauce & Tomato Ketchup. Stir to combine.
  • Make Cornstarch slurry by combining 1 Tbsp of Cornstarch with 2 Tbsp of Coldwater. Stir to combine. Pour it in the soup, stirring constantly.
  • Make Chili Oil by heating Refined oil in a Pan. As the oil gets hot, add the Red Chili Powder & Whole Dried Red Chilis. After 2 minutes, as the oil gets flavored, remove the Chili and pour it over the soup. Garnish with finely chopped Spring onions

  • Serve this soup hot.
