No Onion No Garlic Shahi Panner

Shahi Paneer made without using onion and garlic is such a rich, smooth, and luxurious gravy and is perfect for fasting or Navratri days. Its so easy to make, and tastes absolutely delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Paneer cut into 1" cubes
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 pods Green Cardamom
  • ½ tsp Whole Cumin
  • ½ tsp Whole Cloves
  • 1 cup Cashew Nuts
  • 1 medium sized Tomato finely chopped
  • 2-3 Green Chilis
  • 1 inch ginger chopped
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • ¼ cup Fresh Cream
  • ½ tsp Kasuri Methi

Instructions
 

  • Heat Ghee in a wok. Add the whole spices, cashew nuts, chopped Tomatoes, green chilis, ginger and saute for 3-4 minutes over medium high heat.
  • Cool down the mixture and blend into a smooth puree with some water in a high speed blender.
  • Add some more ghee in the same wok and add the puree. Add Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder, Coriander Powder, Garam Masala and Salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the Paneer and some water. Bring the curry to a slow boil.
  • As the gravy thickens, turn off the heat. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with fresh cream and crushed Kasuri Methi.
