Hey everyone, So today morning when I woke up, I had nothing in the fridge apart from Potatoes and some White Sandwich Bread! Then the idea of making these Potato Cheese Bread Rolls came to my mind. You know how it is during these Monsoon months! You wake up to a cloudy day and crave for something snacky and spicy to start your day. I think it's always great to have these kinds of deep-fried Pakoras in the morning. So that by the time it's an evening you will have it digested already.
However, I know the love for evening tea and Pakora is inevitable to every Indian. So, bringing you a tasty, easy, and cheesy Aloo Cheese Bread Rolls Recipe.
This is so tasty and crispy you guys! I love the combination of Potatoes and Mozzarella Cheese! It really goes well together. If you do not have Mozzarella Cheese at home, you can skip it and use Regular Processed Cheese brick or even those Cheese slices, which are so easily available in the market. But seriously guys! Mozzarella Cheese is truly the best. If you do not have it at home already, I would suggest you get a big brick and keep it in your freezer. Whenever you need to make a quick snack or you're in a hurry to make Tiffin for your kids, early in the morning, this could be an easy escape route! Trust me! It just makes everything better and so cheesy!!!
How to make Aloo Cheese Bread Rolls
So to start this you take a bowl of Boiled Potatoes. Boiled Potatoes is the best because we're going to mash it up and use it.
However, if you're running short of time, you can wash and peel the potatoes and then grate it using a grater. Squeeze out excess water using a paper towel or a clean kitchen towel and use it. I know you must be thinking how can you possibly use Kaccha Aloo. But don't worry you guys! When you're going to fry it, it's going to get cooked and no one will ever know that you've used raw potatoes.
So, take the Mashed Potatoes and add to it some Chaat Masala, Jeera Powder (Cumin Powder), Salt, and Black Pepper Powder.
Also, throw in some chopped green chilis and chopped coriander leaves and mix everything well until combined using a spoon.
Make small balls of this Mashed Potato Mix and keep aside.
Now, take a bowl of water and dip a white sandwich bread in it. Quickly take it out and squeeze out the excess water. Do it with light hands so as to not tear the bread apart. However, even if it tears apart, it won't make much of a difference. You're anyway going to fold it all together to make rolls.
Add the Mashed Potato ball in the center of the soaked bread and roll it to make your bread Rolls.
Heat some vegetable oil in a wok and once the oil is hot, fry these Bread Rolls over a low flame until both the sides are golden brown.
Serve with Tomato Ketchup. Sprinkle some Chaat Masala on top for that extra zing!
See, I told you, this is that easy. You can easily make these Aloo Bread Cheese Rolls and enjoy it ant any time of the day. It's one of my favorite snack recipes. Especially during the rainy days or cold January evenings, I and my brother, we love to enjoy these with some hot Tea.
