Welcome to Twins Ki Rasoi. A place where exciting recipes and delicious cuisine are waiting for you. Look around and enjoy browsing throw our recipes and stories...
Cooking was a source of excitement for us. Later it turned into a necessity and now it has become a source of happiness for both of us.
Starting from those childhood days of sneaking into the kitchen and opening up various boxes of masalas to pretend that - "We are Busy" to those days in Delhi especially in our early 20's when we lived alone and cooked a storm in the kitchen. Sometimes we impressed ourselves. Sometimes we inspired ourselves. Often we even hated it...But, most of the time we enjoyed ourselves. I - Srirup and my Twin Brother - Surup, created this website so that we could share our culinary skills, cooking stories, and our sweet and salty experiences with all kinds of food in the kitchen.
Both I and my brother is a perfectionist. We never do anything half-heartedly. I am working in the corporate sector while my brother is a Doctor. We have taken our career to a direction that we both wanted to. But, cooking, taking food photos, making videos, sharing stories, sharing experiences, writing about food was something that we always sort of loved. But, we could never really pinpoint this thing. And today, by the grace of God, we have a place to say the world how much we love food...
We began this blog as a way to tell people the various kitchen tricks and cooking hacks that we have learned over the years. Sometimes sneaking in the kitchen and overhearing recipes being told by Mommy or Granny. Or carefully watching - "Sanjeev Kapoor's Khana Khazana" or binge-watching cooking episodes on "Food Food" or "Living Foodz".
Indian Kitchen is always a very busy and exciting place. That smell of tadka, that clash of bartans, that smoke of dry roasted masalas, Indian cooking is mostly about the smell, feel, and taste. I remember how I and my brother used to sneak into the kitchen and make something or the other so as to surprise my Mom!
Later when we began living alone, we made all kinds of stuff. Starting from Pressure Cooker cake to Dhoklas in the rice cooker, and whatnot. It is then that we actually realized how much we love cooking. How much deeply we care about the texture of our food. The consistency of my food. We began looking at our food with a critical eye - true to our Virgoan nature!
Though we can't say with confidence that we are a perfect cook but every day we try to take one step towards that milestone. And, sooner or later we will reach there.
