Aloo Tikki Burger or popularly known as McAloo Tikki Burger is a delicious Indian street style burger that is so good. Sold Popularly by McDonald's, this one is an all-time favorite recipe. It's so easy to make and is just the best of all Burgers. Have you tried my Dahi Bhalla Recipe (Dahi Vada) I made it yesterday and it tasted so good.
What is so special about McAloo Tikki that we crave it all the time. Well, I think I have finally cracked the secret recipe and I am going to give it a try!
Today the Aloo Tikki Burger which I will be making is a combination of my two love. Mc Donald's Mc Aloo Tikki and that street style spicy and tangy Aloo Tikki Burger with all the Indian spices. Basically, its a tribute to my love for street style Burger, and you're going to love this recipe. I promise!
Aloo Tikki Burger's best part is the patty. The Burger Tikki Recipe is something which I have devised on my own, using my special Chaat Masala! I do not use Onions or Cabbage while making the Tikki. I like to keep things simple by using a simple mashed potato and green peas filling, just like they do in McDonald's and to that, I add my desi style with loads of Indian spices. And all of that makes this Aloo Tikki Burger, so delicious and good.
Making Aloo Tikki Burger is so easy. All you need to do is work on the Tikki. The Burger Tikki Recipe should be spicy and comforting.
Mashed Potatoes are mixed with Green Peas. It is then combined with my homemade Chaat Masala and some oil. Of course, seasoned with some salt & pepper, a dough is made. Tossed in Breadcrumbs and deep-fried in Refined Oil. I do not like to add a separate coating of Cornstarch slurry over the breadcrumbs. However, if you want, you can do that.
Also, the most important thing about the Burger is the sauces. Although, you can easily find Burger Sauce in the Market today. However, I like to use my special sauces to give this Aloo Tikki Burger a special touch!
I like to use Mayonnaise, Tomato Ketchup, Mustard Sauce, and some Chili Sauce. All of this together brings out a flavor, which can easily beat any other Burger which you've ever had! I promised you earlier that this recipe of Aloo Tikki Burger will blow your mind off and you're going to love it and I hope I have delivered on it.
Other possible variations:
This recipe of Aloo Tikki Burger is so versatile and there are countless possible variations to this recipe.
- You can add veggies of your choice. I like to add some grated carrots, beetroots, cabbage, and onions to the patty. However, you can make it healthy and add spinach and beans to the patty as well.
- You can alter the sauce. I like to use Mayonnaise along with Tomato Ketchup, Chili Sauce & Mustard Sauce. You can skip out either one of them. However, don't forget the Mayonnaise and the Tomato Ketchup. Because these two are literally the heart of the recipe.
- Cheese - I like to use Processed Cheese slices for the Burger. Many people skip out on the cheese when they are making Aloo Tikki Burger, which is fine. If you don't have Cheese at home, go ahead and skip it. However, I love Cheese and cannot imagine my Burger without Cheese. So I obviously use one. You can replace this with Processed Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, or Cheddar Cheese.
Finally, I would love to conclude by saying that this Aloo Tikki Burger is pure emotion. It's one of those recipes which will fill your heart with joy and your tastebuds will clap for you! Seriously, if you're going through a rough day, all you need is a good Aloo Tikki Burger with a tangy and delicious sauce and a perfect Burger Tikki which is equally spicy and comforting to lift up your mood and spirits.
