Being raised in India, my love for Chutney is a true and honest one. We Indians can never get enough of our Chutneys. From Coconut Chutney to Tamarind Chutney to Coriander Chutney to so many other Chutneys its always a pleasure to make and enjoy Chutneys.
Today, I will teach you how to make Peanut CHutney. This is also known as a Vrat Ki Chutney or a Chutney which is eaten during fasting days.
Peanut is filled with Protein and during fasting days, when you're tired of having the same fruits and sweets every days, then you should definitely try this Peanut Chutney. Especially during the Nine Days of Navratri, when you are fasting all day long, this will help you feel so energized and you will love the taste of it.
Ingredients I have used
To make this Peanut Chutney I have used -
- ½ cup Peanuts
- 3-4 Broken Green Chilis
- 1 Tsp Sendha Namak
- ½ TSP Lemon Juice
- ½ cup Water
- 2 Tbsp Groundnut Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2-3 branches of Curry Leaves
How to make Peanut Chutney or Vrat Ki Chutney
This Peanut Chutney gets ready in just 2 steps
Step 1: Take a Mixer grinder jar and throw in the broken green chilis, Peanuts, Sendha Namak, Lemon Juice, and Water in it. Grind to a smooth and thick paste.
Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp Groundnut Oil in a Pan. Add the Mustard seeds. Once it starts to splatter, add the Curry leaves, and once it's toasted, add this over your chutney.

Peanut Chutney | Vrat Ki Chutney
Equipment
- Frying Pan
Ingredients
- 3-4 broken Green Chilis
- ½ cup Peanuts
- 1 tsp Sendha Namak
- ½ Tsp Lemon Juice
- ½ cup Water
- 2 Tbsp Groundnut Oil
- 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2-3 branches Curry Leaves broken
Instructions
- Take a mixer grinder jar. Add the broken green chilis, Peanuts, Sendha Namak, Lemon Juice, and Water. Grind them to a smooth paste.
- For the Tadka, heat 2 tbsp Groundnut oil in a Pan. As the oil gets hot, add the Mustard seeds or Til and the Curry Leaves. As it gets to splatter, get it out and pour over the chutney.
- Your Peanut Chutney is ready! Enjoy!
